Bodyweight squat, bodyweight Chin-up....

Two months left to hit my target and....
  • I have added 20# to my back squat in October but will need to lose some weight and add some plates in order to hit my goal for the end of the year.
  • I have only added 5 pounds to my chin up, so I think the target for full body weight chin-up by the end of the year is over ambitious, it would be an awfully big gap to cover yet. I can do 105 pounds but I weigh 160.
Progress is really slow, but certainly steady. Typically I don't particularly relish things that I'm not "good" at. This is a distinct exception.  I don't get it, but it's working for me, so I continue to GO WITH IT!

A good read.  The whole reason I hired a PT, was because of this little known anxiety.  Thankfully, actually, as I have gotten a lot more out of the relationship than just some clarity on navigating the equipment and a plate-jockey.

Dear Asics;  I really like these shoes.  Like;  really, really, really.      Dear Santa;  I have been SO good this year.   Maybe these would be great for lifting.   I don't know... because I can't FIND them.  I guess when they said limited edition, they really meant it.  Is it wrong to long so deeply, for just a pair of shoes?  Tokidoki Onitsuka

OK, maybe the intent of the  song/lyrics is more misogynistic than empowering..... and yet...
MUSIC AND LYRICS TO PUSH IT HERE!
I ignore everything other than the "push it" and lift.  I set them  up and knock them down!
Anyway....misogyny or not , I dig this tune.  And love lifting to it.  30# to go to hit my Body-Weight-Squat target.... I only have to add 3# a week to make it.   Or lose 30#.   Or a combination of the two.  Yeah, let's go for that one...

The annual "thanks for the boatload of money" award goes to......ME.   'Cause the money went to Goodlife.  

It's essentially thanking me for doing 144 PT sessions in a year; so , like yeah, thanks for the money.   :)


That being said, I don't regret a single cent.  It's among the most worthwhile investments I've ever made.
I actually I'm tempted to go on and on about what I love about it, .... But I just got back from the gym, and I feel strong and calm.... And I think that says it all.
