Before, during and after.... 5 X 135# (3 sets). Hardly a big number, I know, BUT... the most I have ever moved without a spotter! I am trying to get more comfy under the bar. I was AOK. So I will try to keep increasing my 'solo' weight in the same increments at my weights with Jerimiah.... so they won't ever be the same, but as long as I move with JW, I also move alone.

No, not a PR. But a cue from Jerimiah (knees out) that I finally get. It felt 30# lighter. Yeah baby!
I got a few training plans from J as an outcome of a recent bet....
Not as good as the real deal, but better than free-style. :) And my quads hurt, so.... there's that.... Body weight 135#

What a great year. I could go on and on. I guess what's what this blog is, after all. My journal of meanderings. :)
Anyhoo.... I hit my 'body weight back squat' target; actually did 165#. I did not get the pull up. I am still quite happy with progress. On to 2016! On December 16th, I will find out my 1RM for barbell squat. One of my 2 targets for 2015 was to squat my weight, and I am within a few pounds @ 5 reps, so theoretically (mental state not withstanding!), I can do it. So we set the date to go from 'theoretically can' to 'done'. While we are at it (getting 155#), we are going to add in 5# increments and see where my current ceiling is. Probably 160, but who knows, maybe I can even do 165#.
Either way, we'll find out in 9 days! The Chin up is a ways off yet. But not impossible. . |
