Benched 100# today for first time. 3X3, and then one, paused at the bottom. I feel like a million bucks.

No, not a PR. But a cue from Jerimiah (knees out) that I finally get. It felt 30# lighter. Yeah baby!
Believe it or not, it's taken me a few days to relax from the "I got my CPU Card" hype of March 4th. At this rate, I still have to :
I gotta get a grip. Or maybe, just maybe....this is why I have so much fun. I am made up of mostly feelings, after all. Why not throw some more on the fire! :) I made my target of body-weight squat a week ago. So... I was early! So last night we did a run to hit my 1RM. And... it's 165#... here is the video. I failed out at 170 # (not posting that vid!!), and am pleased that I saw it through!
Now I just to squeeze out that chin up in 2015.... The annual "thanks for the boatload of money" award goes to......ME. 'Cause the money went to Goodlife. It's essentially thanking me for doing 144 PT sessions in a year; so , like yeah, thanks for the money. :) That being said, I don't regret a single cent. It's among the most worthwhile investments I've ever made. I actually I'm tempted to go on and on about what I love about it, .... But I just got back from the gym, and I feel strong and calm.... And I think that says it all. The Mavens and I did Mudderella. It was muddy. Imagine that. I swear that they put liquid soap in the mud to slick it up. I hope it was soap, anyway. Here's me and the end of the first obstacle. Note the smile and (relatively) clean clothes. This next one is about 1/2 way. Still smiling. More dirty. Let's just say that by the end... The smile was one of relief. It was really amazing to see all the women around helping one another.... strangers and friends alike. I've never seen anything quite like it.
A great day with the mavens....but I had mud everywhere. Not even past tense. I am still dealing with some sort of super-adhesive film. Anyway....I am proud of us. But maybe next time; the spa? We cycled 47 kms today from Niagara on the lake to Niagara Falls. Jim was super patient and held back with me as I struggled a few times with the hills. Garth seems tireless and I don't know how he does that! Susan (of course) is fit as a fiddle and had no problem.
Had a good burger (and mediocre country music) at the Hard Rock Cafe at the halfway point. Other than the satisfaction of 'making it' ....the burger was a highlight. But a am pretty proud of myself.... It was good to spend some time with J&S .... Although I would have taken an afternoon with them of nachos and beer (or wine and crudités's, or milk and cookies) just as well. :) I feel like I graduated to big girl pants today! We finally added some plates to the Olympic bar for my (back) squat. OK, only little ones.... 2.5# each! But still, it took me around 5 months to get this far, so I am celebrating!!!
